The Island of Elba, with its subtle facination, knew also how to charm one of the most famous lyrical singers of this century, Tancredi Pasero. He retired at Spartaia, naming his villa Desiree, in the memory of the romantic love story between Napoleon and the enchanting daughter of Monsieur Clery, future queen of Sweden. Somewhat later the villa was changed into a hotel, keeping up during all this time the family-like hospitality. The services, in fact, are always perfect and accurate and the guests enjoy every comfort. The hotel is situated in the marvelous Spartaia gulf with direct access to the private beach, and also offers wide open spaces around the hotel. Its position is ideal for those who love peace and security for the children. The resort consists of a main building with the restaurant, the bar, the reception and the rooms and two buildings hosting the family suites. All the rooms dispose of numerous services and are tastefully decorated and furnished with comfort in mind. The kitchen serves local delights and delicious international dishes, accompanied by famous wines. The breakfast is served as a buffet; lunch and dinner are “a la carte”.
